What we're talking about
This week we're looking at the story of Abraham and we're talking about faith. As Hebrews 11:1 tells us, "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." Abraham places his faith in God by boldly living into God's calling for his life. Abraham leaves his homeland and sets off for a new place that God would show him. Abraham has been an example of faith throughout the history of the church. Paul writes about him in Romans 4:20-21 saying, "20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised." Faith is a response of obedience to God. Stepping out in bold ways for what we hope for through God's will. How will you step out on faith this week?
