We're going to talk about something that we all have: a name. Sometimes the name we give or receive are harmful. What are some labels you hear thrown around? When we're given a label, even if it isn't true, we sometimes become that label. In Mark 5, we see the story of a sick woman who was probably labeled as poor, ill, contagious, and a sinner. But Jesus gave her a new label: daughter. God doesn't see the labels you've been given. He sees His child. Let God have the final word on who you are. See yourself and others as if you're His child. Jesus wants you to know you matter and so does everyone else. Everything flips when you know you're God's child.

A large crowd followed and pressed around him. And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought "If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed..." - Mark 5:24-34 (NIV)
